  Join the ACLU for this timely training on how our electoral systems work, how to organize for election advocacy in our community, and how to help protect access to the ballot. RSVP.

June 12 | Freedom Rally | 3 – 4pm | Green Lake
Join fellow WIers and neighborhood resisters for a weekly rally at Green Lake, across from Starbucks (7110 E Green Lake Dr). Grab your sign and stand up for democracy!

June 13 | Defenders of Democracy rally | Noon – 1pm | Ballard
Join Ballard Defenders of Democracy at Bergen Place (triangle at Market and Leary). Family friendly, signs provided if needed, music often on hand!

June 15 | Alphabet Resistance | 10 – 11am| 50th Street I-5 overpass
During June and July, there will be many opportunities to get our message out to all those soccer fans from other countries, the press, and international media coming for the World Cup. June 18 | WI Membership Meeting | 7–8:30pm | Keystone Church
This month we will be kicking off our Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) actions! We can take back the House and Senate, and it’ll take all hands on deck with GOTV! For those unable to attend in person, join us on Zoom. (5019 Keystone PL N – we meet in the basement, enter via 51st)

The US vs Australia match starts at noon and Alphabet Resistance will ensure our message is loud and clear as fans make their way to the game. June 20 | Another Way to Have Your Say: Public Comment workshop | 7 – 8:30pm | Zoom
The Trump administration is using its regulatory power to gut environmental and human rights protections, deny access to the vote, and more. These actions include a HUD agency mandate to deny housing on the basis of gender; a USPS rule to deliver only some ballots; a rollback of limits on carcinogens in drinking water.
All the proposals listed above have comment deadlines within the next six weeks.

But We the People have a powerful tool for countering such harms: public comments. In this online workshop, you will learn how to write and submit public comments that are admissible as evidence in court cases that challenge harmful regulations. RSVP.
