Wallingford Indivisible (WI) works for progressive change. We have been active since 2017. 

Our Mission:

We are a volunteer-run group that focuses on taking direct action to protect our democracy, elect progressive leaders, advance civil rights, and oppose the Trump agenda. 

How We Take Action:

• Weekly Emails: We send a weekly email to members. It lists specific actions they can take locally, statewide, and federally.

• Voter Outreach: We host in-person and online gatherings to write postcards that help get out the vote (GOTV).

• Issue Teams: We have teams dedicated to specific causes, like the environment, equity, immigration, and public health. 

• Events: We join rallies and protests. We work with other groups on large events like the "No Kings" demonstrations.

• Collaboration: We partner with and support other regional progressive and Indivisible chapters.

Our Community Values:

• Focus on Goals: We concentrate on clear, specific actions that help us reach our progressive goals.

• Community Based: We focus on organizing with our neighbors. While we started in Wallingford, we now have members from across North Seattle. 

• Privacy and Trust: We respect everyone’s privacy and assume the best intentions. Being a member requires mutual trust. Honest conversations are vital, but they must remain private within the group.

• Respect and Kindness: We are courteous to each other. We strive to create a welcoming and accessible environment for everyone. Healthy debates are welcome, but kindness is mandatory.
