The Health Science Action Team is focused on addressing the impact of the Trump Administration budget cuts and revised policies on public health programs at the CDC, the NIH, and the FDA. Our most urgent emphasis is on immunization practices, retaining essential child and maternal health programs, and supporting ongoing, collaborative medical research research to further scientific inquiry and to prevent the loss of our nation’s status as the pre-eminent source of biomedical innovation throughout the world. Note: Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid Services is covered separately by the Safety Net Action Team.

Seattle Immigrant Rights Action Group formed in 2017 from folks in Wallingford Indivisible and Communities Rising. Since then, we have advocated for our immigrant and refugee neighbors through mutual assistance, education, protest, and political advocacy.
